I Am With You Always, an Ascension Motet for Equal Voices by Dennis Fitzpatrick (1977).

The Meditation Song After Communion (6:25) reflects the message of the day’s Gospel.  It also incorporates the refrain sung by the congregation during the communion procession.

Verse 1: “God mounts his throne to shouts of joy, alleluia.”  Ps 47:5.

Verse 2: “You are my witnesses!  The power will come upon you just as my Father promised, alleluia.” Lk 24:49, 47.

Verse 3: “He shall return as he has left, alleluia.”  Acts 1:11.

Verse 4:  “You are my witnesses!  Carry the message: there is forgiveness for all who turn to me, alleluia.”  Lk 24:49, 47.

Verse 5:  “God mounts his throne to shouts of joy, alleluia.”  Ps 47:5

Verse 6:  “I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”  Mt 28:20
